A motor scooter, sometimes referred to as a sport scooter, is a vehicle that operates on two wheels. With its step-through frame, it allows its rider to straddle the seat in the manner of a bicycle. The motor scooter is engine-powered, with the engine usually attached to either the rear axle or fixed under the seat of the vehicle.

The wheel diameter of motor scooter is generally from 20-36 cm, making the motor scooter the transportation method of choice in the urban areas because of the low maintenance costs and steering ease. Compared with a motorcycle, a motor scooter is quieter, carry fewer legal restrictions, and requires relatively less skill to ride.
